True Beauty

If this is not the real beauty in Africa, I dunno what is..Africa need to be authentic in their beauty contest not just a matter of copying the western countries sense of beauty.Maybe Kenyan beauty contests can borrow a leaf?

Nothing beats a well-toned 'something to hold onto' black beauty. Am sure most men would agree that bones are for dogs(no offense). Give me my curvy black queen any time, any day:)

Gal i totally agree with you this is what Africa should be parading.. Today at the KICC there will be selection of four Kenyan beauties from one peageant(Miss Tourism, Commonwealth, Teen and Kenya) and am telling you only God knows what they will come in the Dolce and Gabbana style of clothing and am very sure no one will wear the national dress..
I wish they will open their eyes and parade what is Kenyan and African

Akiey5: No wonder you are the best guy I know:-) thanks for always being true to being black with no shame:-) Yes it is about time we embraced our looks with pride. When is the African going to feel proud to look like themselves without copying some jungu hair. Those girls look very beautiful with no make up or fake hair...
Nakeel: I will be on the look out to see to see who wins and I betcha she willbe light skinned , heavy make up and some weave on her head with some western couture.

Milonare: Si Masaai's and Turkana bare it all in their daily life ..well if Kirubi cannot hold his .......... well what can I sa:-))))

Beautiful pictures of beautiful people. and I am with akiey, there is nothing that beats true african beauty. But it was a sad day when africans decided that White was beauty, and preceded to judge us by those standards. Shame on us all...

@Akiey - bones are for dogs? Yes, and what do they do when they strip the meat off them, they leave them for bones with 'more' meat - no offense!!! LOL

Wanjiru, am flattered. Maybe it's the way I was brought up & also bcoz of having met wonderful Black women:)

Ditto everybody here & we all know we're saying this without bias. There's so many ways we Africans define beauty and..
...yes Guess, we lost it when we adapted the Eurocentric view that dominated pageants from 70's up to now.
Btw, when do you see a Black chick dash to don make up 1st thing on leaving the bed?
Come rain, shine or snow Black women's skin looks & stays healthy...even when they 'tan' for being in the hott summer sun. Black women look good without having to try too hard.

@Nakeel, Dolce & Gabbanas, Valentino etc, yet we have fashion designers back home? Like Irena says 'Iko Kitu'!

@ Milo, lol! @ bare breasts. True, so we aren't man enough to know the boobies (can I say that here?) have more than sensual purposes, lol!

@Guess...in shame so is that why when we annoy our women they call us dogs?? (Sniff, sniff, walking away with tail between our legs),lol!
